A Very Elegant Appetizer

SMOKED SALMON WITH CAVIAR
This recipee is dedicated to my dear brother in law.  Since the first time I made this dish for the family, he loved it so much that now it has become his signature dish.  He makes it to every party that he is invited and guests are happy to taste it.
For our purposes in this blog the Smoked salmon and caviar could be classified as an appetizer or a tapa.
Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of smoked salmon
  • 1 small jar of black caviar
  • 1 half a cup of thinly diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons of capers (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of  finely chopped fresh dill
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • pepper to taste
Spread the smoked salmon around a serving tray.  Be careful separating the slices, because they are very thin.  Add the diced onion, the capers, the caviar and the dill ( in that order.)  Then, pour the olive oil and freshly ground pepper to taste.
This appetizer is, as I said before, very elegant.  The combination of salmon and caviar is excellent, and the saltiness of the dish is reduced by the olive oil bringing all the flavors together perfectly.
For this dish, I recommend a French champaigne, or a Spanish cava.  I leave it to you to choose the brand since it is usually determined by how much you want to spend.  Anyhow, I assure you, this is the perfect Valentine's surprise.  Let me know how much you liked it in the comments box, please.  All your
commentaries are important to me.  And... Buen aprovecho!
